Product Description
Chem-Trend® CR-19602W is a water-based release agent
concentrate, formulated for preventing rigid polyurethane
foams from sticking to concrete when applied correctly.
Chem-Trend® CR-19602W can minimize concrete staining
caused by unintentional contact with polyurethane.
Chem-Trend® CR-19602W is intended to be diluted and
mixed with clean water before for consistent performance.
Application
Chem-Trend® CR-19602W is provided as a concentrate
and should be diluted with clean water at a mix ratio that
allows the user to apply an adequate layer of release agent
to the surface to promote release of the polyurethane and
avoid urethane stains. The proper mix ratio will need to be
established based on the spray equipment and application
volume. In applications with a pump sprayer, it has been
known to achieve dilutions as high as 1:10 product to water
by volume. Example of dilution being 1.5 cups (or 12 oz)
product per gallon or water. Add water slowly to product
with mixing for best results. Ensure the dilution is
homogenous (no chunks or separation) before using. Only
dilute the amount of product to be used for the project.
Higher dilutions will separate and will need to be mixed
prior to application to ensure the dilution has not separated.
Clean spray equipment after use to avoid bacterial growth.
Biological growth will reduce product performance.
1. Chem-Trend® CR-19602W can be sprayed, brushed or
wiped onto concrete surfaces where sticking of rigid
polyurethane foam is likely to bond/stick.
2. Apply product until the concrete surfaces appears wet
yet dries quickly. Avoid overapplication and wet spots.
Avoid application below 50°F as this will take longer for
the product to dry and may result in urethane sticking.
3. Any rigid polyurethane foam that comes into contact
with surfaces coated with Chem-Trend® CR-19602W
can be removed once the polyurethane has cured.
4. Any excess Chem-Trend® CR-19602W can be
removed from concrete surfaces with water or
pressure washer rinse
